Madame Justice sold at GABWA Auction

#51/100

2006Madame Justice, Number 51 of the 100 African Canvas Memory Quilt series was auctioned October 12, 2006 at the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) Annual Honors and Auction program. The quilt was a commemorative piece in honor of the organization’s 25th anniversary. The auction benefits GABWA’s scholarship fund which assists deserving female law students.

Madame Justice measures 31 x 26 inches. It features four panels with black sashing and binding. A book shelf print is on the back of the quilt. The embellishments reflect the occasion. The words “You Go Girl!” “GABWA”, “Sisterhood” and other inspirational words are stitched into the quilt.

The quilt was sold for $600.00 and ended up in a loving home. I am so proud to be able to play a small part in a deserving female law student’s success.
